Rodeo Book

Rodeo Downunder is an awesome book (author Jenny Dyer) that captures the spirit of Australian Rodeo with well over 200 amazing action photos, this book shows you, in brilliant colour, just how rodeo has become one of the world's extreme sports with images of incredible rides and death-defying “busters”.

Rodeo Downunder is the talk of the Rodeo world in Australia and captures the unique country atmosphere - dust and all - with an array of photos that typifies Australia and is the next best thing to actually going to an Aussie Rodeo.

This hard cover, glossy coffee table book would make a great gift for anyone interested in Rodeo in Australia.

The dust cover unfolds to a spectacular poster and shows the amazing sequence of photos in the action packed ride shown below.

Review - Jocelyn Frahm - NRA

"Jenny Dyer's enthusiasm for rodeo action is illustrated through her photography in this magnificent pictographic book.

Country Queensland, "down under" in Australia sets the scene for this pictorial, a collection of some very colourful characters and unbelievable action. Rodeo is a way of life for rural Australian people who travel hundreds of miles each weekend to meet up, compete and enjoy the atmosphere.

The photos in this book are the result of attention to detail, early mornings and long days of photographing in the heat, dust, rain and cold.

Jenny's ideas just keep on coming and she never ceases to amaze me with her skill, expertise and passion for her vocation.

The completed "vision" I know has taken countless hours and many nights dreaming up ideas for the presentation of this book.

I have taken great pleasure in watching this concept develop, and am in admiration of the polished presentation of this portrayal of the sport of rodeo and congratulate Jenny on her achievement - enjoy."

Review - Mick Sandy - 1977 SEQ Saddle Bronc Champion

"Jenny Dyer is a familiar figure at rodeos and other horse events in south-east Queensland. With her lens and attention clearly focussed on the action in the arena, Jenny spends many hours perched at the ringside.

So it should come as no surprise that she has compiled this book using a selection of her best photos.

As a former saddle bronc champion, I love this book. No coffee table should be without one.

Sit down and hold on for the ride!"

"Captures the true spirit of rodeo"

Jeff Douwes - Cartoonist for the Gympie Times.

Review of song BUCKING HELL RODEO DOWNUNDER

John Goodspeed, San Antonio Express-News.

"..... rodeo officials can appreciate other good rodeos, even if they're in Australia.

I sent them a link to the rough and tumble music video for "Bucking Hell Rodeo Downunder." They cranked up the volume in their office and they were all kicking up their heels to the tune.

Seems the song has 'em hopping in Australia, too, where it's a radio hit.

Sung by Aussie musician Glen Albrecht, the song is about rodeo, backed with quick clips of cowboys riding bulls and broncs with the four-footed animals often winning.

It looks like Texas and Australian cowboys have a lot in common in this extreme sport."
